Good article on regarding the Purple Cow…

ESPN asked Lee Corso to name some of his favorite college mascots for the commercial package being developed for the ESPN College GameDay show this season and, of course, Corso selected the Williams College purple cow.

Sideline Quarterback Club Alumni Membership

Last year the Williams College Quarterback Club decided to begin an initiative to expand it’s membership to include former players and to those who do not live locally and aren’t able to attend the regular weekly luncheons. Essentially, we wanted to create a football alumni membership level that would include the rest of the Williams Football family – regardless of where you lived. The “Williams College Quarterback Club Alumni Membership” is open to any alumni football player or non-alumni football supporter (such as parents of past players, or those who would like to support the Williams College Football program directly). This year we have re-engineered the details of this special category of annual membership.

The Williams College Quarterback Club Annual Membership costs $100.00 and includes:

  • Admission into our annual tailgate party (held on the first home game of the year (even years) and at the homecoming game Williams vs. Amherst (odd years). Join us for great food, complimentary drinks and good company.
  • Invitation to attend any one of the regular season Quarterback Club luncheons – every Wednesday at noon during the season.
  • Official Sideline Quarterback Club Jacket and Hat.

If your attending the homecoming game this Saturday (11/14/2009) versus Amherst please stop by our tailgate (located at the near end zone) for more information, enjoy some food and to sign up for your Alumni Membership. Current Directors of the Quarterback Club will be on hand to chat about membership and answer questions. We will have applications and jackets/hats on hand to try on for sizing. We wish every football alumni would join the Quarterback Club and take advantage of this new type membership that directly supports the football team.

If you are unable to attend this years homecoming but still want to join please send your application and your $100.00 check to:

Head Football Coach
22 Spring Street
Williamstown, MA 01267

If you have questions about the membership please contact us using the form below.

I look forward to seeing you. GO EPHS!!!!

Vice President, Williams College Sideline Quarterback Club

Nick Caro Impresses

By · November 1, 2009 · Filed in Player · No Comments »

Nick Caro tied the Williams College single game record with three TD catches, scoring the Ephs’ first 3 TDs in a 42-0 win over Hamilton. Caro’s three catches were good for 97 yards. Perhaps, more impressive than his record tying outing yesterday was his journey from what appeared to be a “career” ending injury in last years Hamilton game.

The Boston Globe covered his story this week in an article titled: Caro a feel-good story
